For thirty years now, Portes Express Doors & Trim Ltd has become a key company in its field. Pierre Labelle, founder of this company since May 1995, took his courage in both hands and decided to enter the world of interior finishing. Although we were going through a recession at the time, nothing could stop the entrepreneur, Pierre Labelle, from pursuing his dream. In its early days, with the help of a single employee, Pierre provided interior finishing, mouldings and interior doors ready to be installed. It was only later that exterior doors and windows were added to the list of products and services offered.
Portes Express was founded in the heart of Embrun, Ontario, in a small building near the Tim Hortons. Due to the magnitude of the business, Pierre realized that he had to expand at all costs according to the demand which continued to grow. The growth of the company necessitated the addition of personnel. It was then that in 1996, Ginette Labelle, Pierre’s spouse, joined the company to assume responsibility for administrative tasks. Due to the smooth running of the company, in the year 2000, it continued to grow. Portes Express Doors & Trim Ltd extended its facilities and acquired a new building located at 145 Bay Street in Embrun, Ontario. In 2002, the owners also had to double the surface area of the initial building by adding an extension, in order to meet storage needs.
In 2014, Cédric Labelle, the son of Pierre and Ginette, became more involved and also became a shareholder in the company. Cédric started working for Portes Express Doors & Trim Ltd at the age of twelve, learning with his father, Pierre. Little by little, he takes over the operations. Now he has over eighteen years of industry experience. With commitment and dedication, Cédric achieved all the levels in order to fill his father’s shoes.
In 2022, Portes Express Doors & Trim Ltd, continues to evolve and has more than twenty employees. Once again, owners are faced with a problem of lack of surface area and storage space. So, they make the decision to expand but this time, a new construction is on the horizon! Since October 2022, the company has moved to 1759 Innovation Road, Innovation Park in Limoges, Ontario, in an architecture with an area of more than 30,000 square feet.
In this new building, Portes Express Doors & Trim Ltd ensures the continuity of offering the best prices thanks to its vast purchasing power. Employees meet the material needs for interior finishing for more than 2,000 new homes per year. Such results are proof of their reliability and commitment to their customers for the past thirty years. The secret of this success is the innovative side of the owners, personalized service that meets customer needs, a range of products and services that are constantly being added to existing products, not to mention the expertise of each of the employees who are always concerned about giving you good advice.
